I've been fascinated by the internet since I was fourteen — dialing into CompuServe and AOL on a modem, searching on AltaVista, watching the data highway take shape in real time. That fascination never really went away. Thirty years later I'm still building things on it, just with a bigger team and fewer dial tones.
This site is a place for essays. About running as system design. About parenting a trilingual kid in a city that isn't the one I grew up in. About Barcelona and Vienna as designed environments. About travel — I love it, and I think about it the way I think about everything else, as a complex product with many failure modes. About AI tools in actual daily practice, not in theory.
I'm a product guy. That's how I see most things.
A note on how this works: I've been building with AI tools since before it was obvious you should. This site is part of that practice. I feed it observations, rough notes, voice memos. An agent I've built and trained on my voice shapes them into essays. I think that's honest to say — and honestly, it's also just a good example of what these tools can actually do when you use them seriously.
